Every year, the Tree Care Industry Association has a conference for tree professionals all over the US, the purpose of which is to inform, educate, and update them on the newest equipment, safety practices, regulations, and services available. Henderson’s makes it a point to go to this conference every year to stay ahead of the game. Safety and education are number one priorities for our staff and clients, so we feel it is important to be as current as possible with the latest and best available.
The conference this year was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The tree crew and owners attended a variety of seminars and classes as well as the expo which expanded their knowledge exponentially. Each person had some wonderful things to say about their individual experience.
Ron mentioned that he particularly enjoyed the new people he met, and learned more about some new techniques that he hadn’t seen before. It was a wonderfully educational experience with entertaining but informative speakers and great detail.
Todd felt that the conference was an amazing chance to meet his fellow tree care professionals- he forged a bond with many on this common ground they shared. In addition to earning CEU credits, he also said that the education was valuable and enormous to take in.
Joe was very happy with the refresher course on felling trees that he attended, as well as the safety and rigging seminars. He mentioned that the demonstrations were very well done and it was very good to have reviews of the different techniques they use on a consistent basis to see what has changed and improve upon his skills.
The TCIA conference is a great way to connect and reconnect with people everywhere who share a common ground- a love for tree care. These relationships have so many benefits for each member of the crew- office personnel, tree crew, and owners alike. We are very pleased to be an accredited member of the TCIA- it enhances our company more every day.
